Life is Feudal: Arden launches a PvP-heavy seasonal server with a 37-week run

Life is Feudal: Arden just opened a new Seasonal Arden server, built as a competitive, high-stakes PvP option alongside the game’s permanent server. It’s live now, and the season is set to run for 37 weeks on a separate world map. Arden is a free to play PvP focused MMORPG built on the original Life is Feudal: MMO.

The big idea here is a fresh start where everyone begins on more even footing. The devs say player skills and attributes are normalized once they’re above a certain threshold, so the server isn’t purely about who can grind the hardest or stack the most power the fastest.

The season is broken into five phases called Ages: Awakening, Conquest, Domination, Reckoning, and Last Judgment. Each new Age is meant to shake things up by unlocking new features, systems, technologies, and recipes. At the same time, gear and defenses from the previous Age become less effective, so strategies that work early on shouldn’t stay dominant for long.

Seasonal Arden still leans into the sandbox side of the game, including terraforming and freeform building for things like fortresses, villages, and strongholds. Even with the PvP focus, it’s not framed as nonstop fighting either. Survival systems are still part of the loop, including farming, hunting, and animal breeding.

Long Tale Games also says you can move the same character between the Permanent Arden and Seasonal Arden servers, and that your seasonal progress can be transferred over to the permanent server once you’re done.

More details are in the Steam announcement.
