Eternal Tombs targets early 2027 launch, opens up new testing sign-ups

Triune Studios has penciled in an early 2027 launch window for its indie sandbox MMORPG Eternal Tombs. The team says it’s coming off a stretch of major reworks to combat and other core systems, and now it wants more testers to help shake things out ahead of release.

In a Steam update from Triune’s Josh Caba, the studio said it’s spent recent months finishing the game world and building out the underlying systems to the point where it felt comfortable putting a launch window on the calendar. That same post also points to a new teaser showing where the project stands heading into 2026. You can read it in the Steam announcement.

Eternal Tombs was previously known as War of Dragnorox, and Triune is still sticking with a couple of big promises it’s talked about before: no microtransactions, and a “full game” launch rather than an Early Access release. That’s part of why the studio is pushing for more external testing now, since it wants to spend the remaining time polishing instead of launching in a paid public alpha.

As for what makes it different, Triune continues to highlight “Tomb Masters,” which are live human game masters meant to run or influence events in the world.

Triune says tests should start up over the coming months and continue through the year. If you want in, sign-ups are live on the game’s registration page.
