Hytale update 4 adds 500 blocks, proximity voice chat, and new creative tools

Hypixel Studios has rolled out Hytale’s fourth early access patch, and this one is mostly about building and social features. According to the patch notes, Update 4 adds 500 new blocks across crafting and the creative inventory, along with proximity voice chat, an emote wheel, more hairstyles, and a new revolve tool for creators.

The studio says it’s still in the middle of reworking major parts of the game, so this isn’t a big content drop so much as another groundwork update. A lot of the additions here look aimed at expanding Hytale’s building options now while setting up future biomes, dungeons, furniture sets, and minigames later.

For players already in early access, that means more materials to work with right away, especially if you’re spending most of your time building in creative mode. The voice chat addition is probably the other headline feature, though Hypixel is being pretty clear that the broader social layer is still a work in progress.

Hypixel also said it plans to keep expanding block sets and building materials, while continuing to polish assets and add themed furniture. So if you’ve been waiting for Hytale to feel more complete, this patch sounds more like another step in that direction than the moment it all clicks.
