Hytale Update 2 adds a skeleton-summoning drop and reworks pickaxe progression

Hytale’s second early access update is out now, bringing a new combat-focused item, a mining progression pass, and a handful of character customization tweaks.

The headline addition is a new item that can raise skeletal minions from nearby bone piles. It is not something you can craft or buy, though. It only has a chance to drop from the large Praetorian Skeleton, so you will need to track that enemy down if you want to try out the new summon.

Mining also got a balance sweep aimed at making pickaxe tiers matter more. Lower-tier pickaxes now do less damage to higher-tier ore, while better pickaxes reduce the number of hits needed. There’s also a new hard requirement on Adamantite: you will need a Thorium or Cobalt pickaxe to mine it.

On the customization side, the update adds new options and refreshed visuals, plus “visibility toggles” that let you decide whether certain armor pieces show up. There’s also a toggle tied to player nudity, for anyone who would rather keep characters from running around unclothed.

The patch includes a wider spread of UI/UX and gameplay changes across multiple systems, with full details in the patch notes.
