Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 Arrives June 1 With Mortenax Blade and New Endgame Mode

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3, titled “The Lethe Below the Living,” launches June 1. HoYoverse says the update will close out the Planarcadia arc, with the Trailblazer and Mortenax Blade following separate paths inside the World in Canvas.

Mortenax Blade is the main new 5-star character for the first half of the update. He’s a Fire/Nihility unit built around a Bounded Field from his Ultimate, which increases the damage enemies take and enables an enhanced Skill tied to his Sword Formation. Ally attacks build Charge for him, and once it’s full, he can trigger an automatic Skill and gain extra Energy regeneration.

Players who pull Mortenax Blade during his event window will also receive the Trailblaze Outfit “Karmic Fire of the Distant Shore.” Yao Guang returns in the first half of Version 4.3, while Cyrene and Phainon are scheduled for the second-half Warps.

The update also adds Starward Mode to Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow. The mode asks players to field three separate teams across three stages, with up to 300 extra Stellar Jades available for full clears.

HoYoverse also confirmed that a Fate collaboration is planned for this summer, though it hasn’t shared specifics yet. More details are expected closer to the event.
