Honkai: Star Rail 4.3 launches June 1 with Blade, a new endgame mode, and Planarcadia story finale
HoYoverse has set Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3, The Lethe Below the Living, for June 1, 2026. The update pushes the Planarcadia storyline forward, with the Trailblazer and Blade heading into the World in Canvas and toward what sounds like the arc’s big reveal.
According to the official announcement, Version 4.3 also adds Mortenax Blade as a new 5-star Fire Nihility character, brings back several limited characters on rerun banners, and introduces a new “Starward Mode” across the game’s three main challenge modes.
Story-wise, the update centers on Blade’s attempt to end his long-running curse by using the power tied to the Aeon Voracity. The Trailblazer, meanwhile, heads to Inkford Hermitage to warn Graphia about the threat of Asat Pramad. HoYoverse is also introducing Graphia more directly here, framing her as a key figure in Planarcadia’s history and its lingering mysteries.
On the gameplay side, Blade’s kit revolves around setting up a special field with his Ultimate, boosting damage against enemies, and building charge off ally attacks to trigger extra skill use and recover Energy. If you’re pulling for him, Version 4.3 also includes a “Gift of Tempered Blade” event that gives out the Trailblaze Outfit piece “Karmic Fire of the Distant Shore” after you obtain him through Warping.
- Mortenax Blade debuts as a 5-star Fire character on the Path of Nihility.
- Yao Guang reruns in the first half of Version 4.3.
- Cyrene and Phainon return in the second half.
- “Starward Mode” is being added to Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow.
- Starward Mode uses three teams across three stages.
- Full clears award an extra 100 Stellar Jades per mode, for 300 total across all three.
- A new event, Wispae Amusement Park, has players building routes and placing attractions in the World in Canvas.
HoYoverse also teased a collaboration with UGREEN, with merch and events planned in multiple regions, though details are still to come. The publisher briefly mentioned that the Fate-styled Holy Grail War crossover is returning this summer as well, but didn’t share anything more specific yet.
Honkai: Star Rail is available now on PC, iOS, Android, Epic Games Store, and PS5.
