Hallow’s End Returns to World of Warcraft With Quel’Thalas Candy Buckets and Neighborhood Events

Hallow’s End is back in World of Warcraft from October 19 through November 2, with the usual trick-or-treating across Azeroth and a new batch of holiday activities tied to neighborhoods, player plots, and Quel’Thalas.

This year’s event adds Midnight Candy Buckets in Quel’Thalas, plus neighborhood themes with decorations, candies, daily quests from Nomi, and a contribution bar that fills as residents complete holiday activities. Players can start the neighborhood chain with “A Haunted Home” from a Holiday Enthusiast, who sends them to Yin.

  • New candy buckets are available across Quel’Thalas.
  • Neighborhoods get one of several Hallow’s End themes, with themed cosmetics, candy, and daily quests.
  • The Community Candy Crawl world quest runs for 15 minutes every hour in Founder’s Point and Razorwind Shores.
  • Players can trade Neighborhood Candy for Tricky Treats, with exchange rates changing by neighborhood and by day.
  • Daily activities include cleaning up wrappers, catching ghosts, becoming a spider to place webs, and filling a Wickerman piñata for candy rewards.

Housing decorators also have new seasonal items to chase. Jolli Maxiboom in Razorwind Shores and Holly Twinklebright in Founder’s Point sell spooky home decor for gold, while Echo in Undercity and Jack in Stormwind offer themed goods for Tricky Treats or gold. Items include Hallow’s End candles, jack-o’-lanterns, scarecrows, witch hats, Heartsbane decorations, and other creepy furnishings.

There are new achievements too, including Tricks and Treats of Midnight for using candy buckets in the Midnight zones, Sweet Tooth for completing the Duskwood, Felwood, and Drustvar candy achievements, and A Frightening Friend for finding Pepe in a spooky scarecrow costume. That one rewards Scarecrow Pepe Housing Decor.

The Headless Horseman encounter is also back. Characters level 10 to 80 can queue through Dungeon Finder each day for a chance at the Headless Horseman’s Ghoulish Charger Skyriding mount. Blizzard says players are guaranteed one piece of the Headless Horseman’s Ghoulish Armor transmog set per day, with no duplicates.

Hallow’s End vendors are also selling returning items and older rewards, including Patched Harvest Golem transmog pieces that previously dropped from the Headless Horseman, along with the Horseman’s Ghoulish Great Blade, Blade, and Bulwark for 100 Tricky Treats each.
