Guild Wars 2’s Visions of Eternity update revamps raids, adds Guardian’s Glade, and introduces Fashion Templates

Guild Wars 2’s “Visions of Eternity” Raids & Wardrobe update is live now, bringing a reworked raids setup, a new raid encounter called Guardian’s Glade, and a new Fashion Templates system for swapping looks on the fly.

The biggest structural change is that Strike Missions have been folded into the raid menu as “Raid Encounters,” complete with a new raid UI. Squad leaders can choose which encounter to enter, including specific bosses in multi-encounter raid wings, and can move the whole group between raid maps without everyone having to exit first.

Guardian’s Glade is the new 10-player raid encounter, featuring one of the Guardians of Castora, described as a giant crustacean-style fight. ArenaNet says a Challenge Mode version is planned to go live in three weeks.

Rewards have also been adjusted. Raids now use a unified currency that can be exchanged for rewards across encounters and raid wings, and the patch adds new achievements tied to the updated raid content.

Quickplay is now available for raids too. It lets players queue to be placed with nine other players for a rotation of pre-selected raid encounters. The update notes that it is not matchmaking, and the mode includes bonuses meant to help groups succeed regardless of composition.

On the cosmetic side, Fashion Templates let you save appearances for armor, weapons, backpacks, dyes, and outfits, then swap between them. Everyone gets two template slots for free, and the patch also includes an in-game mail with free transmutation charges to help players test the feature. ArenaNet outlined the update in its official post.

Elsewhere, the Wizard’s Vault was refreshed with new rewards and clearer objectives, along with shop tuning intended to protect the game’s economy. The patch also kicks off Lunar New Year and starts a run of upcoming bonus events, including PvP and Dungeon Rush, plus the return of Super Adventure Festival.
