Star Trek Online Season 35 “Corruption” launches February 17 on PC, March 10 on consoles

Star Trek Online’s next major update, Season 35: Corruption, is set to arrive February 17 on PC, with the PlayStation and Xbox versions following on March 10. The season adds a new story episode, a new ground Task Force Operation, and a themed event centered on the Chimerans.

The new episode sends players to team up with the MIDAS Array and Captain Ezri Dax to deal with a fresh incursion. Cryptic says the mission includes both space and ground action, with space encounters built around waves of psionic attacks and an on-foot push through an infested area.

Alongside the episode, the season includes a new Ground Task Force Operation called Belly of the Beast. It has players fighting Chimerans at the MIDAS Array’s communications array while they wait for backup. The broader Chimeran conflict also carries into the season’s Corruption event, which tasks players with taking on the threat across the galaxy.

Cryptic also announced a leadership change: longtime STO art lead Thomas Marrone is stepping into the Executive Producer role. Details are in the official announcement.
