Guild Wars 2’s The Only Way update adds Eternity’s Garden on May 12
ArenaNet has properly outlined Guild Wars 2’s next Visions of Eternity update, The Only Way, which arrives May 12. The headline addition is a new zone called Eternity’s Garden, along with the next chunk of the expansion’s story.
This is the third of Visions of Eternity’s four planned releases. According to the official post, the update adds five new story chapters as players continue tracking Vloxx, the newly promoted Inquest leader, to Castora’s new area.
ArenaNet also confirmed a handful of gameplay additions coming with the patch. The biggest ones are two new mastery tiers, six new relics, and new legendary rewards for both PvP and World vs. World players.

The studio said it’ll go into more detail on those features next week. For now, the main thing to know is that access is tied to the Visions of Eternity expansion, so you’ll need to own that to play The Only Way when it goes live.
ArenaNet also released a new trailer alongside the reveal, following last week’s teaser that confirmed the update name and date.
