EverQuest Legends gameplay stream shows off its updated UI
EverQuest Legends got a long new gameplay showcase this week, with the team spending more than an hour walking through the game’s updated interface and moment-to-moment play. The biggest takeaway is pretty simple: the UI looks cleaner and easier to read, but it still sticks close to that old EverQuest feel.
That means lots of grey-and-black panels, flat bars, and a pretty plain font setup. Not exactly flashy, but clearly intentional. The stream also shows off visible gameplay tweaks, though the source material doesn’t get into a full breakdown of every change.
For longtime EverQuest players, the overall vibe seems intact. The demo still has some of that familiar rough-edged MMO energy, right down to faction messages like your standing with the Crushbone Orcs somehow getting even worse. If you wanted something that feels polished into a completely different game, this probably isn’t that.
There’s not much in the way of hard new info here beyond what the stream itself shows, but for anyone already following EverQuest Legends, it’s a useful look at how the project is shaping up. The UI appears more cleaned up than before, and the gameplay footage gives a better sense of how closely the team is trying to hold onto the original game’s tone while smoothing out some of the presentation.
