Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity Gets Its Final Update in September
Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity is getting its final update, Code of Creation, on September 15. ArenaNet confirmed the date in a Guild Wars 2 social post, with the update set to close out the expansion’s story and add a new map, mastery track, group content, and rewards.
The new explorable map is Leyspring Hollows, which will come with a meta-event called The Depths of Cruelty. ArenaNet is also adding a new Fractal, raid, and Convergence, though the studio hasn’t shared much detail yet. Solitary Throne and Nexus of Eternity were named alongside that content, but the exact breakdown is still a little unclear.
Players will also get a new Mastery called Rift Amplification. On the rewards side, Code of Creation includes a new legendary sword, Wages of Stars, and a new infusion, Volatile Ascension. The usual seasonal-style housekeeping is in there too, including a Wizard’s Vault refresh, new achievements, and more rewards to chase.
Story details are being kept vague for now, which isn’t too surprising given this is the expansion’s finale. For players current on Visions of Eternity, September 15 is the date to watch.
After Visions of Eternity wraps, ArenaNet has already said Guild Wars 2 will shift toward bigger modernization and polish work over the next 18 months, alongside plans connected to the wider Guild Wars series. For now, though, Code of Creation is the next stop.
