Black Desert Online’s Edania Part 2 Update Raises the Level Cap and Drops Old Windows Support
Black Desert Online is getting its Edania Part 2 update after a four-hour maintenance window, bringing the level cap up to 70 and adding Inner Edania, new boss quests, new monster zones, and fresh gear targets. Maintenance is scheduled to begin at 08:00 UTC, which is 4 a.m. ET and 1 a.m. PT.
According to the maintenance notice, Inner Edania will include several new regions, seven individual bosses, new accessories, and Godslayer’s Armor. Pearl Abyss is also setting up a later update next month that will add a fight against Hadun as the final boss.
The update also adds new Throne boss quests for Aphrodon, Hermesia, Magaia, and Aresion. One practical warning for weekly players: don’t finish the existing weekly quest before maintenance if you want to take on the new ones right away, or you’ll be locked out until the next reset.
Event currencies are being cleaned up too. Six event seal types are being folded into one currency, called [Event] Reward Seal, so players won’t have to juggle as many separate seal items after the patch.
There’s also a technical cutoff coming with this update. After maintenance, Black Desert Online will no longer support Windows 7 or older, or DirectX 9 or older. Pearl Abyss says systems running either will not be able to launch the game after the change, per the official notice.
