Free-to-play creature catcher Aniimo launches September 16
Aniimo, the free-to-play open-world creature-catching action RPG from publisher Kingsglory and developer Pawprint Studio, is set to launch on September 16. It’s coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, plus iOS and Android.
PlayStation Store pre-orders are live now for two paid editions, both built around in-game extras rather than buying the game itself.
- Advanced Edition costs $9.99 / £7.99 / €9.99 / ¥1,500 and includes the PlayStation pre-order exclusive Fluffy Friend accessory, plus the Advanced Companion Handbook battle pass.
- Collector’s Edition costs $19.99 / £18.99 / €23.99 / ¥3,000 and includes the same Fluffy Friend accessory, the Collector’s Companion Handbook battle pass, an exclusive doll, and an exclusive avatar frame.
Both Companion Handbooks include a Prismana Aniimo Egg that can be used at the Outpost Hatchinator to hatch a Prismana Form Aniimo with Perfect Potential, along with an evolution material tied to that handbook-exclusive Aniimo and other in-game rewards.
As for the game itself, Aniimo is set on the continent of Idyll, where players catch creatures using Aniipods and can “Twine” with collected Aniimo to use their abilities for exploration, puzzles, and combat. Creature appearances can vary based on things like environment, weather, and time of day.
The game also includes a PvEvP mode called Egg Heist, where three-player teams search and fight in the Lost Isles, plus a player RV and Homeland system for decorating, farming, and social features.
