Final Fantasy XIV’s Yo-kai Watch Event Returns August 4 With New Furniture Rewards
Final Fantasy XIV is bringing back its Yo-kai Watch collaboration on August 4 at 1:00 a.m. PDT, giving players another shot at the event’s minions, themed weapons, and a few new furniture items. The event runs until October 5 at 7:59 a.m. PDT, according to the official event page.
The event, Yo-kai Watch: Gather One, Gather All!, is built around FATE farming. Players equip the Yo-kai Watch and use the Yo-kai Medallium to earn Yo-kai Medals from FATEs, then trade those medals for Yo-kai minions. Eligible FATEs are found across A Realm Reborn city-state regions, plus areas from Heavensward and Stormblood.
Once you have a Yo-kai minion, running FATEs with it summoned can earn Special Legendary Medals. Those are used to get weapons themed after each Yo-kai. The weapon lineup goes up through Shadowbringers jobs, including Gunbreaker and Dancer, so there still aren’t event weapons for Reaper, Sage, Viper, or Pictomancer.
This return also adds three “wibbly-wobbly” furniture rewards based on Jibanyan, Komasan, and USApyon. They’re available through Manderville Gold Saucer Points, alongside the Adventurer Plate framer’s kit from the previous run.
The Yo-kai Watch crossover has been around Final Fantasy XIV several times since its original 2016 debut, so this is mostly a catch-up window for anyone who missed earlier rewards, or anyone who wants the new housing items without waiting for the next rerun.
