Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.56 Adds Beastmaster and New Dawntrail MSQ
Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.56 is live, bringing the second part of the latest main scenario update, the new limited job Beastmaster, and its solo-focused duty, Crucible of the Unbroken.
The new MSQ begins with “A Winter’s Dream” at The Rising Stones, available to level 100 Disciple of War or Magic jobs after finishing “Trail to the Heavens.” The patch also adds Beastmaster quests starting in New Gridania for players who have completed “The Ultimate Weapon.”
Beastmaster is a melee DPS limited job that starts at level 1 and currently caps at level 50. It shares gear with monk and samurai, but plays by the usual limited job rules. That means no Duty Roulettes, PvP, Deep Dungeons, Variant or Criterion dungeons, Ultimates, Eureka, Bozja, Occult Crescent, or similar content. It can join duties through preformed or unrestricted parties.
The job’s core loop is built around forging pacts with creatures, then assigning them as familiars through the Master’s Bestiary. Players use Gauge and Capture to assess and attempt pacts, with better odds if a target is weakened first. Familiars can then be summoned in battle, build TP, use instinctual skills, and trigger unique attacks through Beastmaster actions like Tempered Release and Borrow.
Crucible of the Unbroken is the job’s dedicated training mode. It uses board-based solo challenges where players bring selected familiars, items, gear, and feed. Scores reward remnants of resilience, which can be traded with the Kornago merchant in Central Shroud. Familiars also earn Crucible beast rank experience up to rank 25. A ranked “degrees” mode unlocks after all boards and related quests are finished, with Season One set to begin September 24, 2026 and run until Patch 7.58.
- AAC Heavyweight Tier Savage no longer has weekly reward or entry restrictions.
- Savage treasure coffers now always appear, with no reduction based on prior clears.
- The Echo is active in AAC Heavyweight Tier Savage, granting 12% more max HP, damage dealt, and healing potency.
- The weekly cap for Allagan tomestones of mnemonics has increased from 450 to 900, while the 2,000 storage cap stays the same.
- Series 11 of PvP has ended, and Series 12 runs from Patch 7.56 through Patch 8.0.
The patch also adds new housing items, orchestrion rolls, a hairstyle based on a Hairstyle Design Contest entry, mounts, minions, fashion accessories, achievements, titles, portrait accents, PS5 trophies, Xbox achievements, and new text commands for Beastmaster features.
