Final Fantasy XI’s Celestial Nights Event Returns With July Update Next Week
Final Fantasy XI is bringing back Celestial Nights next week, giving players another run at the seasonal event centered on two actors recreating the meeting of legendary lovers. The setup is very FFXI: adventurers step in to help guide one half of the pair toward his partner and keep the performance from going off track.
The event arrives alongside the game’s July version update, which is also set for next week. Square Enix says the update will add a new high-tier mission battlefield, make adjustments to Limbus battle content, and refresh Ambuscade.
There’s also a batch of limited-time bonuses starting July 10. According to the official event page, players can expect boosts tied to several older activities, including increased light in Abyssea, better Skirmish rewards, and more Bayld from revives.
As usual with these campaign windows, it’s mostly a good excuse to knock out older goals, stock up on rewards, and grab Mog Kupons while the bonuses are active. Square Enix hasn’t laid out every detail in the short announcement, but the main beats are clear: Celestial Nights is back, July’s update is close, and the reward campaigns begin on July 10.
