Final Fantasy XI’s 24th anniversary event runs May 13 to June 9 with XP and drop-rate boosts
Final Fantasy XI is marking its 24th anniversary in Japan, or its annual Vana’versary, with a month of in-game campaigns and bonuses. Square Enix says the event starts May 13 and runs through June 9, with rewards and boosts rolling out in several phases instead of all at once.
The big takeaway is pretty simple: if you’ve been meaning to level jobs, farm materials, or work on gear, this is the window to do it. According to the official announcement, the first phase includes chain experience and Capacity Point bonuses, Monstrosity campaign boosts, double synthesis skill gains, extra Bayld, and increased seal and crest drop rates.
- Phase 1 begins May 13
- An extra set of bonuses is scheduled for May 17
- Phase 2 starts May 24
- Later phases continue into early June, with the final phase opening June 5
- The full anniversary campaign ends June 9
Square Enix also says players will get access to gear engraving bonuses similar to dark matter augments, along with a Seal Battlefield Spoils Campaign and a special campaign Festa that includes double XP and Allied Notes.
The announcement doesn’t spell out every detail in one short summary, but the structure is clear enough: each phase adds more incentives, with phases 3 and 4 carrying over many of the earlier bonuses and mixing in a few new ones. For a game this old, that kind of anniversary cadence is pretty familiar, but it’s still a solid excuse to jump back into Vana’diel.
Separately, Square Enix is also bringing back the Maiden’s Rhapsody crossover event in Final Fantasy XIV this month.
