Fallout Season 2 climbs into Prime Video’s all-time top six, and Fallout games are seeing a bump

Fallout Season 2 is already Prime Video’s sixth most-watched series of all time after four weeks, according to a new report from Deadline. It sits behind both seasons of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Reacher Seasons 2 and 3, and Fallout Season 1.

Season 2 premiered on December 16, 2025, and this time Amazon is rolling episodes out weekly (Season 1 dropped in 2024). Amazon hasn’t shared full viewership numbers, but it did note that a sizable part of the audience is coming from the UK, Germany, and Brazil, and that more than half of viewers so far are outside the US.

Amazon also pointed to Rotten Tomatoes scores as a sign of momentum. Season 2 is currently listed at 97% Certified Fresh, compared to Season 1’s 93%.

The show’s success is also bleeding back into the games. Analyst data cited in the source story says the Fallout franchise saw “significant spikes” in engagement and sales across platforms following the new season’s launch. On Steam specifically, concurrent Fallout players have reportedly doubled since the Season 2 premiere, jumping from around 20,000 on average to more than 40,000.

Amazon renewed Fallout for Season 3 in May, and it has also greenlit a reality competition series inspired by the franchise. Fallout Shelter is set to run for 10 episodes and is being co-produced by Kilter Films (producer on Fallout) and Studio Lambert.

While Amazon hasn’t seen much success in gaming, TV shows based on games are faring better.
