Fallout 76 Reaches 25 Million Players Ahead of Its Eighth Anniversary

Fallout 76 has now passed 25 million players, Bethesda announced on Fallout Day, October 23. The milestone comes just a few weeks before the online Fallout game turns eight, with its original launch dating back to November 14, 2018 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Bethesda thanked players in posts from the official Fallout account and the Fallout 76 Steam page, though it did not explain how the 25 million figure was counted or give a platform breakdown.

The next stretch is already mapped out through summer 2027, based on Bethesda’s recent Letter from the Directors. The bigger upcoming additions include:

  • World Pets in December, which turns C.A.M.P. Pets into companions that can follow players, level up, and respond to commands like Stay, Follow, Protect, and Kill.
  • Bounty hunting in Skyline Valley, also tied to the World Pets update.
  • Hideouts next spring, adding bounty encampments players can clear for larger rewards.
  • Raven Rock next year, expanding the map toward the Capital Wasteland nearly 200 years before Fallout 3.

Bethesda also said it hopes to see fans in D.C. next year for another celebration.
