EverQuest Opens Lethar TLP Server With Personal Loot
EverQuest’s new Lethar time-locked progression server is live for All Access members, giving players a fresh start with a different setup than the usual early-era TLP launch. According to the official post, Lethar begins with The Serpent’s Spine unlocked and adds the new Personal Loot system.
Lethar is not an open PvP server, doesn’t use free trade, and has no item level requirements. The main twist is Personal Loot, which gives eligible group and raid members their own loot rolls from NPCs they helped defeat. Solo players don’t get extra loot from the system, so it’s clearly aimed at pushing players toward grouping.
In groups, loot output scales with the number of players, with full groups getting the best return. In raids, the system works the same regardless of raid size. Daybreak has also posted a Personal Loot FAQ for the finer rules.
Lethar’s expansion unlocks begin 12 weeks after launch, with The Buried Sea scheduled for November 19. After that, expansions are planned every eight weeks. The current expansion, Shattering of Ro, is listed for October 18, 2029. There’s also a Lethar Penguin Mount now available in the Marketplace.
Stone Cold Summer has returned as well, though not on Lethar yet. The event is available on servers that already have The Buried Sea unlocked and runs through September 22. Players can head to Misty Thicket and take on the returning seasonal quests tied to Armia, Helagan, and the event’s other trouble spots.
