EverQuest Opens Favors of Fortune Beta With Dark Elf Bards

Posted on by

Daybreak has opened beta testing and pre-orders for Favors of Fortune, EverQuest’s 2026 expansion. Buying in now gets players beta access, three Gilded Weapon Ornaments, and access to the beta forums while testing runs ahead of launch.

The headline addition in this beta is the new Dark Elf Bard race and class combo. Testers can also try the new Collection Depot, along with upcoming zones, raids, quests, missions, collections, spells, combat abilities, and AAs.

Players who actively participate in the beta will receive a Gilded Serpent Crown Ornament appearance item after the start of the new year. Daybreak is also planning a developer livestream on November 17 to talk through more of the expansion.

Favors of Fortune picks up after the gods’ recent war, with Mithaniel Marr and Rallos Zek trying to maintain a truce while Scorn’s return twists luck across the lesser planes.

EverQuest II also has its next expansion prelude event live. Paths to Sedition sets up Descent to Val’zyroth with new adventure and tradeskill quests, a new achievement, a collection, and merchant items tied to trouble brewing in Freeport and D’Lere.
