EverQuest II’s next time-locked server is Wuoshi, launching in June

Daybreak has shared a few new details on EverQuest II’s 2026 plans, and the biggest one is the game’s next time-locked expansion server. According to the official post, it’s called Wuoshi and it’s set to launch in June.

Wuoshi will start in Echoes of Faydwer and progress through Chaos Descending. Daybreak also says it’ll be a Free Trade server, and because it’s opening with a large chunk of expansions already active, it should be able to take part in most live events right away.

Outside of the new server, the producer’s letter mentions quality-of-life work on character creation. There’s also an early tease for EverQuest II’s 2026 expansion, which is still planned for the end of the year.

That tease is tucked into the letter in the Teir’Dal language rather than laid out plainly. Players on the official forums have already translated it, though anyone trying to stay spoiler-free will probably want to avoid digging too far into that version.

The update also helps fill in some of the gap left after Daybreak said earlier this year that it was skipping traditional roadmaps for EverQuest and EverQuest II in 2026. This isn’t a full roadmap, but it does at least lock in a name, ruleset, and launch window for EQ2’s next progression-style server.
