Everlast: Undying Tale Hits Steam Early Access With 100-Player Worlds
Everlast: Undying Tale launched into Steam Early Access on October 28, with developer InSpades pitching it as an MMO-lite built around public worlds that support up to 100 players.
The game is set in Sarkis, a land overrun by undead after ancient magic brings them back. Players can explore, gather, craft, take on quests and bosses, and help rebuild parts of the world either solo, with friends, or alongside other players on public servers.
Early Access is expected to last about a year. Everlast is priced at $25, with a 25% launch discount currently available. InSpades says the price will be somewhat higher when the game reaches full release.
The Early Access launch also comes with a sizable update focused on travel, inventory, crafting, quests, and multiplayer fixes:
- The Spot Cap Warp System is now available through the quest In Search of the Past, Losing the Future, with warp stones placed across several regions.
- Item pouches add a new equipment slot and five extra inventory cells under the 30-slot backpack. Different pouch types hold item groups like herbs, ore, fish, logs, potions, and tools.
- Crafting has been reworked, including changes to Focused Crafts, quality chances, auto crafting material use, and a new Overtime bar in the crafting minigame.
- New and reworked quests include Securing the Region, A Business Adventure, and The Historian and the Spot Caps.
- Quality-of-life additions include world map search, server-side backpack sorting, Deposit X and Withdraw X at the bank, and improved Steam Deck and Linux support.
- A broad multiplayer sync pass addresses cases where what players saw didn’t match the server.
Progression runs through skill lines such as woodcutting and occultism, while server events can range from shared resource harvesting to larger boss fights.
