EVE Online Opens CSM 21 Candidate Applications on September 17

EVE Online players who want a seat on the next Council of Stellar Management can apply for CSM 21 starting September 17 at 11:00 UTC. Candidate submissions will stay open until October 2, with voting set to run from October 22 through November 3.

The CSM is EVE Online’s elected player council, giving representatives regular access to Fenris Creations on development topics, balance concerns, ecosystem changes, and other issues coming out of New Eden. The studio says CSM 21 will continue using the expanded council model, which gives more players a spot in the group.

Fenris pointed to recent CSM involvement in the Catalyst Major Update, ongoing “Not-So-Little Things” quality-of-life work, the EVE HUD redesign, and the upcoming Cradle of War update arriving September 22. The studio specifically noted force projection as one topic shaped by feedback from current and former CSM members.

Players planning to run need an EVE account older than 60 days by the time applications close. Both Alpha and Omega accounts are eligible, but applicants must have a clean enough EULA and Terms of Service history to pass screening. Candidates also need to be at least 18, or older if their country’s legal adult age is higher.

The process has three required steps: fill out the application form during the submission window, send identification documents to the listed CSM contact email, and create a campaign thread on the EVE Online forums after approval. Fenris says incomplete or incorrectly filed applications will be rejected, and applications submitted before the September 17 opening may not be processed properly.

Approved candidates will be expected to answer basic campaign questions covering their EVE history, areas of expertise, reasons for running, and what players can expect from them. Fenris also says applicants must consent to identity verification for NDA purposes and share their country of origin publicly on the EVE Online website.
