EVE Online GM Week Is Back With Loot Piñatas, OnlyCans, and Community Roams

EVE Online’s GM Week is live from September 28 through October 2, 2026, bringing back CCP’s annual mix of in-game events, streams, scavenger hunts, and community contests.

The headline event is Whack-a-Piñata, where assets from accounts banned for automation, botting, or RMT are packed into four Upwell structures. Those structures are sitting in Yulai, Tarta, Emsar, and Pakhshi, and are set to go abandoned around 17:00 UTC on September 28 and around midnight UTC on October 2. Once that happens, players can crack them open for loot while the action is streamed.

OnlyCans is also returning on the official Fenris Creations Twitch channel. Four deep-space containers will hold SKINs, PLEX, vanity items, and other cosmetics. Viewers will need to work out the locations from the stream background, then solve password puzzles framed as questions.

CCP is also running a Twitch lore pub quiz on Wednesday, September 30 at 16:00 UTC, with 1,000 participant slots available. On Thursday, October 1 at 17:00 UTC, guest fleet commander Pando will lead a GM and ISD roam on stream and in-game.

Other events will run throughout the week, including GM Patrol roams during office hours, Orbital Stash containers placed across New Eden, scavenger hunts, freelance projects for the Game Masters corporation, and forum competitions. One of those contests asks players to submit pet co-pilot photos, with Medical Enforcement Taskforce SKINs and extra prizes for top entries.

CCP says players should watch the official EVE Online Discord’s GM Week section for schedule updates and regional hints.
