Elder Scrolls Online Season One Adds a New Thieves Guild Story on July 8
The Elder Scrolls Online’s first season starts July 8, bringing a new Thieves Guild questline tied to Daggerfall and Abah’s Landing. ZeniMax has already made the original Thieves Guild DLC free for all players, so anyone who wants the background can run through that content before the seasonal story begins.
According to the official preview, the new story centers on several Daggerfall gangs, including the Streethawks, House Menant, and the Roadsworn, as they come under pressure from the Koldane Cartel. The Thieves Guild sees a chance to get involved, which means players will be working in the gray areas again rather than playing hero in the usual way.
Quen is also back. Players who finished the Thieves Guild DLC will remember her, and this time she’s dealing with a Lion Guard pursuit over a crime she didn’t commit. The new questline will have players helping both Quen and the wider Thieves Guild while trying to bring the local gangs together against the cartel.
The season also lands after Update 50’s visual refresh for Glenumbra, so Daggerfall and the surrounding area should look a bit different for returning players. ZeniMax is also tying some of the new outlaw-style activities into Season One’s Tamriel Tome reward tracks.
Rewards include fragments for a new Mythic item, Quen’s Heist Attire costume, and three of the four fragments needed for the Rogue’s Refugee House. Players can earn them through the Thieves Guild story and side activities, including Heists and thieves troves.
