Elder Scrolls Online details Night Market ahead of its April 29 launch

The Elder Scrolls Online’s next big Season Zero feature, the Night Market, opens on April 29 and runs through June 17. ZeniMax Online has now laid out what it actually is, and the short version is this: it’s a temporary Fargrave zone built around exploration, quests, puzzles, races, combat, and loot, not a storefront or another reward menu.

According to the official post, players can enter the Night Market solo or with a group and work with one of three factions running the area: the Ruckus, the Thousand Eyes, or the Glittering Goad. There’s also a main quest tied to the Curator, which pushes players through the market’s different districts.

ZeniMax is framing the Night Market more like an old-school open dungeon than a standard instanced run. In practice, that means a shared space where multiple groups can be moving through the same area at once instead of being sealed off in their own copy. That’s probably the clearest way to think about it if the marketing around “market” made it sound like something else.

One other notable reward: players can earn a new house through the activity. The studio’s latest screenshots also give a better look at the zone’s style, which leans hard into Fargrave’s usual weird, flashy fantasy look.

The temporary part is worth keeping in mind. Night Market is scheduled to close on June 17, though ZeniMax has previously said it could return later if players respond well to it.
