Eclipse: The Awakening launches in South Korea with PC and mobile cross-play
Smilegate has officially launched Eclipse: The Awakening in South Korea, bringing NPIXEL’s new MMORPG to PC and mobile with cross-play available from day one. Service opened at 12:00 PM KST on September 10.
The PC version is available through Smilegate’s STOVE and the game’s official download route, while the mobile versions are live on Google Play and the Apple App Store in Korea. Smilegate is pitching Eclipse as an “MMOLite” MMORPG, meaning it keeps the usual character growth and combat loop but is meant to be less demanding around daily logins and competition.
Pre-registered players can now claim launch rewards through the in-game mailbox. Those include a rare-grade Transcendence Summon Ticket, a Weapon Appearance Selection Ticket, and other early bonuses.
Smilegate is also running several launch events. The main tracks include an eight-week Path of the Hero event with staged Heroic-grade rewards, daily attendance rewards from Dodor, a seven-day login event with a guaranteed rare Transcendence ticket, growth-support missions tied to equipment enhancement and collections, and PC café playtime perks. Some event missions can reward Heroic-grade weapons and other progression items.
There are launch payment promotions in Korea as well, including Google Play carrier billing discounts and Toss Pay cashback or point offers. Smilegate has also teamed with Daily Beer, also known as Saenghwalmaekju, on branded Eclipse beer and set menus through October 11. Buyers can get an in-game coupon, with a separate STOVE community proof-of-activation raffle for merchandise.
Smilegate has not announced a separate global release date for Eclipse: The Awakening. For now, the launch is limited to South Korea.
