Dungeon Fighter Online’s 11th anniversary update adds a new World Boss and login rewards

Dungeon Fighter Online has kicked off its 11th anniversary event, and the big addition is a new endgame activity called World Boss: Contagion. The update is live now on PC, alongside a batch of anniversary events and a new Galactic Voyager cosmetic package sale.

According to the official update page, Contagion is built around weekly rotating bosses and a contribution system based on the damage you deal. Players can jump in through a solo Normal Mode or a 4-player Challenge Mode, with daily and weekly rewards tied to participation. The fights also use an Offset counter mechanic that opens bosses up for bigger damage windows.

The anniversary side of the update is mostly focused on rewards. A new space-themed event minigame, Celarion Survivors, lets players earn Celarion Tokens to trade in for items like +10 Equipment Amplification Scrolls, Primeval Equipment Boxes, and Fusion Stone Upgrade Tickets. There’s also a reworked Epic Road-style event, Celarion Resource Deep Exploration, which is split into a few parts and focuses on targeted gear farming, bonus dungeon rewards, and converting unwanted drops into gear you actually need.

DFO is also handing out a straight login reward during the event period. Players who sign in can claim a Rare Clone Avatar Full Set Box, Gold Emblem Full Set Box, Starter Boost Capsules, and a free Avatar Set, with no extra requirements attached.

If you’ve been away from DFO for a while, this looks like one of those updates aimed at both catch-up and routine endgame play. The new boss mode gives regular players something to chip away at each week, while the anniversary events lean hard into upgrade materials and gear progression.

Dungeon Fighter Online is free to play on PC through its official launcher, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. While the game isn’t particularly popular in the West, it remains Nexon’s #1 game worldwide due to its popularity in China.
