Dune: Awakening’s Halloween Event Sends Infected Into Hagga Basin Through November 2
Funcom has kicked off The Scourge, a limited-time Halloween event for Dune: Awakening running from October 23 to November 2. The event adds infected enemies to Hagga Basin, along with temporary contracts and rewards tied to hunting them down.
Players can start the investigation by speaking with Frida Maltros at a trade station. From there, they’ll search the desert for afflicted attackers, collect Infected blood from encounters, and turn it in for event-only rewards. Funcom says the event will shift phases as the disease progresses, bringing new objectives during the run.
The reward pool includes spooky cosmetics, decorations, emotes, and swatches, all available only while The Scourge is active.
Funcom also noted a couple of outside promotions. In the United States, players who buy a ticket through Fandango to see Dune: Part Three can receive a code for Paul Atreides’ Throne and the Navigator Sarcophagus in Dune: Awakening, with both items becoming available in December.
A Madrinas x Dune: Awakening Collector’s Box is also up for pre-order, bundling coffee, a themed shaker, and two in-game rewards: the Choam Spice Mask and Arrakis Rising Mural.
