Dune: Awakening Hits PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 22 With Full Single-Player
Funcom is bringing Dune: Awakening to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 22, 2026, alongside a larger update for the PC version. The console release will include the same core survival MMO experience as PC, with controls and UI adjusted for gamepads and a 60fps target in Performance Mode.
The September release also adds a full single-player mode, letting players go through the entire game solo with adjustable settings. Pre-orders are live now on both console storefronts. The standard edition is priced at $49.99, while the Deluxe Edition is $69.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $89.99. Funcom says the Deluxe and Ultimate editions include a head start.
- The full game will be playable in single-player, with scalable difficulty and customization options.
- Book One’s story finale is being added, letting players play the main cinematic storyline from start to finish.
- Difficulty options will cover things like harvesting rates, experience gain, and combat challenge in single-player and private servers.
- Multiplayer can now be played fully PvE, including the Deep Desert and faction conflict systems.
- PC players can self-host servers without renting one.
- Tools for vehicle backup and base reconstruction are meant to reduce progress loss after longer breaks.
The console launch will also bundle in updates that have already rolled out on PC, including changes to the late-game loop, new map locations, expanded story content, character re-customization, and the removal of taxes. Funcom is framing September’s release as a broader overhaul for all platforms, not just a console port.
