Dune: Awakening Anniversary Stream Will Cover Console Plans and Single-Player Mode
Funcom is marking Dune: Awakening’s first anniversary with a livestream on June 10 at noon Eastern, with the studio planning to look back at the game’s first year and talk about what’s next.
According to the official announcement, the stream will include discussion of future plans for the console release and the upcoming single-player mode. Funcom is also asking players to send in questions for a Q&A, along with stories from their time on Arrakis.
The timing lines up with a busy stretch for the survival MMO. Dune: Awakening has changed quite a bit since launch, especially around its endgame. Funcom has added more PvE content to the Deep Desert, expanded Landsraad activities, and recently shifted away from a PvP-heavy endgame by making PvP entirely optional.
The console version is also now dated. Dune: Awakening is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 22, following its recent Summer Game Fest appearance.
The anniversary stream will be available on Twitch and YouTube. Players who want to submit a question or community story can do so through Funcom’s announcement post.
