Dune: Awakening adds base recycling in patch 1.3.15.0 as PvE/PvP split heads to testing

Dune: Awakening’s latest update is live, and the main addition is a new base recycling system. Patch 1.3.15.0 lets players recover the full cost of a base by backing it up as a blueprint and then recycling it through the Base Backup Tool.

According to the official post, recycling refunds 100% of the materials used in the base, along with any items stored in that blueprint. Players can back up and recycle multiple bases, and the process is handled in-game by backing up the base first, then holding X to confirm the recycle action.

The rest of the patch is smaller stuff, but still useful. Funcom says it made adjustments to augmented weapons, mnemonic recollection charges, overland map drops, the flying route for the Rift Recon Run Landsraad mission, and a party HUD duplication bug.

What this update doesn’t include is the Hagga Basin PvE/PvP split Funcom talked about last week, or self-hosting support. Self-hosting still doesn’t have a date. The PvE and PvP separation is currently planned for patch 1.3.20.0, which has now entered testing.

For players who build and rebuild often, base recycling is probably the big takeaway here. It should make moving or redesigning a lot less punishing, especially if you’ve sunk a pile of materials into older layouts.
