Diablo Immortal patch 4.3 adds The Taking story update and Rocky Waste on March 19
Diablo Immortal is getting a sizable new update this week. Patch 4.3, called The Taking, goes live in North America on March 19 at 5 a.m. EDT and adds a new story chapter, the Rocky Waste zone, PvP changes, wing customization, balance updates, and a few limited-time events.
According to the official post, the new story follows a string of disappearances spreading from Sanctuary’s port cities, with players tracking Andariel through locations pulled from earlier Diablo games. Blizzard also included a content warning for depictions of self-harm in the patch notes.
- The Taking continues Diablo Immortal’s main story
- Rocky Waste is the update’s new zone
- Battleground maps are being updated
- A new PvP tournament is included
- Players are getting wing customization options
- Balance changes are part of the patch
- Three limited-time events are scheduled
The full notes mention new activities as well, though the overview in Blizzard’s post doesn’t spell all of them out in detail. If you’re mainly here for competitive play, the battleground tweaks and tournament are probably the big items to watch.
Separately, Blizzard has also shared more Diablo lore through an excerpt from the Dawn of Hatred comic series, published via IGN. That’s not part of the patch itself, but it landed alongside the update announcement.
