Closers Online Opens Name Reservations Before New Global Server Launch

Papaya Play has opened pre-character creation for the upcoming new global server of Closers Online, letting players make a character and reserve a name before the server goes live. The event runs from August 12 at 6:00 PM PDT through August 18 at 6:00 PM PDT. Closers is yet another example of a game that has shut down several times in the past only to find new life through another publisher.

The new server doesn’t have a confirmed launch date yet. Papaya Play says more details, including instructions for reserving names, will be shared through the official Closers Online Discord.

The event also brings in Mois, a new playable Closer. She starts at level 67, which puts her further along than a fresh character. Players who take part in the pre-registration campaign can also receive a Jumping Mission One-shot, which instantly raises a character to the current max level.

Other pre-registration rewards include a Unique Costume, a Costume Select Box, and additional in-game items. Papaya Play is also running Discord community events, including quizzes and milestone rewards, ahead of the server launch.

Closers Online is a free-to-play PC action MORPG from Naddic Games, built around side-scrolling, combo-heavy combat and a roster of playable agents fighting interdimensional monsters. The new global server is being positioned as a fresh start for players, though the full launch schedule is still under wraps.
