Camelot Unchained video confirms 19 crafting and gathering professions
Camelot Unchained’s latest developer video mostly focuses on broad design goals, but it also slips in a couple of concrete details for players following the game’s backers-only early access period. The big one is crafting: City State Entertainment says the game will eventually have 19 gathering and crafting professions, along with crafting specializations.
That matters because, right now, early access backers can make pretty much everything themselves in the current build. The new video suggests that won’t last, with specialization planned as the crafting system takes shape.
Beyond that, the vlog is mostly about how Camelot Unchained’s realm-vs-realm focus affects the rest of the game. The studio says each realm is being built around different strengths and playstyles, with examples like the Vikings leaning tougher and more melee-focused, while the Tuatha are framed as more mobile. Class abilities and progression are also being designed around supporting your realm rather than just individual character power.
Camelot Unchained entered early access for existing backers recently, but it’s still not open to the general public. A Steam early access release is planned for later, though the studio hasn’t pinned down a date in this update.
