Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary Edition is live on WoW Classic Anniversary realms

World of Warcraft players on Classic Anniversary Edition realms can now step through the Dark Portal. Blizzard has launched The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary Edition, raising the level cap to 70 and opening up Outland, along with familiar expansion staples like flying mounts, Jewelcrafting, and the Blood Elf and Draenei races.

Two big dates are next on the calendar. PvP Arena Season 1 starts February 17 with each region’s weekly reset, and the first wave of raids unlocks February 19 at 3:00pm PST: Karazhan, Gruul’s Lair, and Magtheridon’s Lair.

Blizzard’s official post also calls out one notable difference from the original Burning Crusade Classic rollout: Guild Banks are available from day one on Anniversary Edition realms. Guild Banks include up to eight purchasable tabs, with 98 item slots each, starting at 100 gold for the first tab and increasing in price for each additional tab.

For players who are sticking with the Anniversary realms but want to skip some of the early leveling, Blizzard says a Level 58 Character Boost (Anniversary) is available as a standalone purchase starting January 13, and it can only be used on WoW Classic Anniversary realm characters on the account it was purchased for.

Blizzard also previously announced a limited-time off-ramp for players who do not want their characters to continue into Burning Crusade on these realms. Free transfers from Anniversary Realms to Classic Era realms are slated to run from November 25 through January 12, 2026, after which any remaining characters will continue on Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary.
