Broken Ranks turns four with free Premium time and a returning birthday quest
Broken Ranks is celebrating its fourth anniversary with an in-game event that includes free Premium time for active players, a returning birthday quest with new twists, and a short run of timed boosts.
Players who have logged in within the last 30 days will get seven days of Premium automatically added to their account on January 28. If you already have Premium, it stacks by extending your current time. Anyone who does not qualify can still enter the code BROKENRANKS during registration for an extra reward, though the developer hasn’t said what that reward is.
The anniversary also brings back the Khold Birthday quest. This year it includes a new enemy party (beyond the previously featured Puppetmaster), plus two difficulty modes that award two different skins. There’s also a server competition element: the party with the lowest completion time on each server is set to receive special rewards. The quest can be started at a nearby Barker NPC.
A few limited-time bonuses are scheduled across the next couple of weeks:
- From January 23 at 10:00 a.m. server time through January 26, Platinum Chests will spawn more often.
- On January 29, several cooldowns get an extra reset, including deals tied to Time Crystals, Time Slivers, and Rings of Transportation, along with free Crampons and the option to buy Reinforced Crampons.
- Happy Hours run on January 31 and February 1 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. server time, with bonus experience and psychoexperience.
Alongside the event details, the anniversary post also looks back at recent additions like last month’s “Trials of the Lodge” roguelite mode and last summer’s “The Other Side” expansion.
