Book of Travels Servers Go Offline as Final Patch Adds Offline Content

Might and Delight has shut down the online servers for Book of Travels, its “tiny multiplayer” online RPG, following the previously announced July 31 cutoff. The game isn’t disappearing completely, though. Players who downloaded their characters ahead of the shutdown can continue playing offline.

In a final developer update, the studio thanked players and said taking the game offline “was not an easy” decision. Might and Delight said it brought back some original team members to finish a bit of remaining content and give the game a final sendoff.

The last patch adds a small set of new things to find in the offline version:

  • Three new rooms
  • 10 new events
  • The return of the Anniversary Flower Crown event from 2023
  • Support aimed at helping modders build new experiences

Might and Delight has also released a free Lore Compendium PDF, covering story ideas and questions the team had planned to explore in future updates before active development ended. The studio also put the full Book of Travels soundtrack on its YouTube channel after players asked for the remaining unreleased music.
