Black Desert Update Adds Harder Duoksini Fights and Arena of Solare Challenges
Black Desert Online’s latest weekly update adds tougher Black Shrine options, new Arena of Solare ranked challenges, and a handful of quality-of-life changes aimed at farming, housing, and node investment.
The main PvE addition is Duoksini at Calamity levels 8, 9, and 10 in the Black Shrine. Pearl Abyss says the higher-tier version has new mechanics, including faster and stronger attacks, so players pushing into those levels should expect a more demanding fight. For players still working through Calamity 1-7, Black Shrine boss attempts now include a sixth Light Orb to make those earlier boss blitzes a bit more manageable.
Arena of Solare also gets new Challenges tied to total ranked wins. The rewards are Cron Stones, with higher payouts as players rack up more completed wins. These can be found under Goals in the Challenge tab.
The farming changes are more practical. Crop growth times have been adjusted and standardized, so players won’t need to track different timers for different seeds as closely. Harvesting and breeding yields have also been increased to account for the longer growth timing. A previously announced change that would let players plant seeds directly from Klau’s Old Moon Seed Pouch has been delayed for more work.
Contribution Point costs have been lowered for certain residences and specific nodes. Pearl Abyss says it looked at other options but settled on reducing the existing CP requirements as the simpler fix. The patch also adds some new production nodes and updates yields for others.
The full breakdown, including balance, UI, and additional changes, is available in the official patch notes.
