Black Desert Starts Desert Light Community Event for Self-Publishing Anniversary

Pearl Abyss has kicked off a new global community event in Black Desert called Desert Light, tied to the MMO’s fourth anniversary of self-publishing. Players can collect Desert Light through regular in-game activities, then turn it in to help push worldwide milestone goals.

Desert Light can be earned from daily login challenges, monster kills, gathering, fishing, World Bosses, and Dark Rifts. Players exchange it through the Ancient Device in Velia for Desert Luminary’s Tokens, which count toward shared progress milestones at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%.

As those milestones are reached, Pearl Abyss says additional rewards will unlock for the full community. If players hit 100% before the event ends, the studio plans to run extra celebration events with boosted Blessing of the Morning effects, increased Agris Fever recovery, and Hot Time bonuses including up to 1,000% Combat EXP, 100% Item Drop Rate, and 100% Life EXP.

Players can also spend their own accumulated tokens on rewards such as a Bundle of 4,000 Cron Stones, Advice of Valks (+250), and a Thankful Premium Outfit Box.

The event is part of Black Desert’s ongoing four-year self-publishing celebration, which started earlier this month with login rewards and community activities. Pearl Abyss says more events and rewards are planned in the run-up to Heidel Ball in July.
