Black Desert Console Adds Inner Edania, Raises Level Cap to 70

Black Desert Console opened Inner Edania after its Sept. 3 maintenance, adding a new endgame region with weekly boss subjugations, high-end monster zones, new accessory paths, and more Life content. The same patch also raises the character level cap to 70, with Pearl Abyss saying the cap will move to 75 in a later update.

According to the official update notice, Inner Edania brings back several systems from the earlier Edania area in new forms, including Boss Subjugation, the Throne of Edana, side quests, and gathering and production content. The next main questline for Edania isn’t in this patch and is planned for a future update.

  • Inner Edania adds 28 side quests and an Abyssal Veins unlock tied to Angavu Outpost. Players need to complete the Black Spirit quest [The Magnus] Another Connection at level 60 or higher, with the listed knowledge requirements.
  • Four weekly boss subjugations are now available: Agris, Markthanan, Elion, and Aal. Their recommended AP and DP climb from 405/485 up to 420/505.
  • New monster zones include Aphrodon Temple, Hermesia Inner Castle, Magaia Temple, Aresion Temple, Scales of Judgment for three-player parties, and Event Horizon in Hadum.
  • New rewards include Primordial Pigment and Luster, Embers of Ynix pieces, Apeiron accessories, Origin Crystals and Shards, and materials tied to the new Godslayer’s Armor appearance.
  • Ekleta and Apeiron accessories have been added. Pearl Abyss says they end at the same stats, but come from different acquisition and enhancement routes.

The Throne of Edana system also expands into the new region. Players who defeat a regional boss can earn the right to become Edana for that region, then defend that position against challengers each Sunday. Winners can receive accumulated tax rewards and Edana crowns.

Outside the new area, the patch adds Primordial Pigment extraction, changes Cup extraction so it now uses Mirror of Equilibrium, adds a War Proposal option for guilds, separates Fairy appearance from Fairy skills, and adds Guild Strategy Mapping to the World Map. Pearl Abyss also made balance adjustments for Berserker, Guardian, Nova, Drakania, and Agent.

A small correction posted on Sept. 4 notes fixes for Xbox virtual keyboard positioning and keyboard input cursor issues.
