Angels Online is getting a refreshed international MMORPG release (June 18, 2026)

Angels Online is coming back with a refreshed international MMORPG release, reviving the long-running isometric online RPG for a new audience. The original game has been around for about 20 years, and this new version appears to be aimed at players outside its earlier regional releases. The original version has been available internationally through IGG forever, but is now launching through UserJOY on June 18, 2026 (as per the official website). The game will be available on Steam.

That makes this more of a reintroduction than a surprise sequel. For players who remember the series, the main takeaway is that Angels Online is being refreshed and brought back for an international audience. For everyone else, it looks like another older MMO getting a second shot at life at a time when more publishers are digging into legacy online games.

While I don’t expect this global relaunch of this 20+ year old MMORPG to do particularly well, it’s always good to see an MMO at least continue to exist. I can’t imagine it costs much to keep the servers running, and there is a core, albiet small, audience for older games like this.
