AION 2 restricts 2,423 accounts over botting, gold farming, and RMT

The AION 2 team says it has restricted 2,423 accounts following a review of in-game activity, with action taken on November 4 at 00:00 PST / 09:00 CET.

The restrictions target accounts tied to botting, gold farming, unauthorized programs, abnormal trading patterns, and real-money trading. The team also called out players who purchased Kinah from third-party sellers, warning that outside currency transactions can lead to suspension or account termination.

According to the game’s Operation Policy, the listed violations fall under sanctions for gold farming, bot operations, unauthorized programs, and RMT. The team says restrictions are applied only after review, and that normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not being punished.

Separately, a small number of accounts have been temporarily locked for security reasons. Those locks are not penalties, according to the notice. They’re meant to protect accounts when suspicious access is detected, such as a login from a risky device or connection.

Players who believe their account was restricted or locked by mistake are being directed to Customer Support, where requests will be reviewed individually.
