Aion 2 launches October 5 as NC shows Cinder City and Like or Die at gamescom
NC brought three games to gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live, with the biggest date attached to AION 2. The open-world MMORPG is now set to launch on PC on October 5 through Steam and PURPLE in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
Before that, NC will run a Launch Scale Test on September 17 and 18 to check server and infrastructure stability under conditions closer to launch. Players can apply through the game’s Steam page, according to NC. Founder’s Pack players will also get five days of early access from September 30 through October 4.
The new AION 2 trailer focused on large boss fights and flying across open environments, keeping the spotlight on the series’ aerial movement and MMO-scale encounters. NC didn’t announce pricing or final Founder’s Pack details in the provided release.
NC also showed a new cinematic trailer for Cinder City, the dystopian Seoul action game from BigFire Games. The trailer frames the game’s post-apocalyptic setting through multiple characters after an alien invasion. NC says the team recently held a U.S. pre-alpha playtest from August 14 to 16 and is continuing development for a global release, though no launch window was given.
The third reveal was Like or Die, the team-based survival FPS previously known as Project Bonfire. The setup has players acting as streamers on a cosmic platform called Quaya Stream, fighting in teams to be the last squad alive.
Its debut trailer showed block-based combat that can reshape the battlefield, along with an objective built around destroying the opposing team’s Nexus. NC says a separate lore trailer is also available on the game’s official YouTube channel.
