Vindictus is an epic 3D fantasy action MMORPG from Nexon with top notch graphics and fast paced bloody gameplay. The game runs on Valve’s powerful Source Engine and offers plenty of content, fun gameplay and a good story. It’s definitely well worth checking out.
#2 Dragon Saga
Dragon Saga from Gravity Interactive is without a doubt one of the best action MMORPGs currently on the market – it’s also one of the best side scrolling games out there. For those that haven’t heard of Dragon Saga – it’s a 3D side scrolling MMORPG published by Gravity With a gorgeously animated game world, numerous classes and unique fast paced combat. It’s a game well worth checking out. The game used to be called Dragonica Online but relaunched as Dragon Saga.
Dungeon Fighter Online is a 2D side scrolling MMORPG with retro graphics. The game looks “retro” but it isn’t an old game. Since its release it has been an instant hit. Gameplay wise Dungeon Fighter plays a lot like classical arcade beat em’ ups like Gauntlet Legends and Golden Axe. With many classes and numerous job advancements Dungeon Fighter Online is one of the best action MMORPGs out there.

Lunia: Record of Lunia War is an 2D fantasy MMORPG with 3D backgrounds and anime graphics. It’s actually an incredibly unique action MMORPG as it promotes cooperative gameplay and has a detailed storyline. The game is published by ijji and has solid gameplay as well as a great musical score. Lunia was one of the first “linear” stage based MMORPGs.

GhostX is a relatively new sci-fi themed action MMORPG published by GameKiss. The game is set in a dystopian future where humans use nanobots, robotic pets, to defeat evil. Much of the gameplay is linear as players have to trek through instanced dungeons to progress, but this isn’t a big issue as the game has enough content to keep players entertained. The game’s combat is fast paced and fun. One of the only gripes I have with the game is that the translations are less than ideal.

Don’t try to compare Dungeon Fighter’s graphics to the 3D market. Its a completely different style of art and design. But by generality of the quality, Dungeon Fighter has extremely great graphics in terms of art.

and Lunia maybe an awesome game sucks because its seperated into 1000 servers
Most popular is US server because even EUs are playing in it because they dunno about EU server and because of EU-US distance it lags like hell (game is heavily ping dependant)
At least ijji should prevent EU players from playing and say “this is US server, go play on OGPlanet”)
and playing in EU server ? Welcome to your single player game
Oh and Dragon Saga ? most populated server is IAHgames
Which is using the dead version named Dragonica which is abandoned on devolopment
Oh and their server is on signapur, have phun lags
AND gPotato and Gravity’s servers are empty and its still on beta on Gravilty

Um, Needo2, you seem to be both woefully ignorant and callously bashful of most of these games: Now, having played Dragonica for quite a few months, I can assure you that the game is not at all ‘dead’, and is still undergoing development on the IAHGames server, with frequent updates, and you would like to consider the possibility that ‘Dragon Saga’ is the revamped, not standard, edition of Dragonica, while the European and SEA versions still retain their Dragonica standard, how a publisher intends to develop a game within their region is their prerrogative…

Oddly enough, its coming late 2011, still no Vindictus Eu. Although it said on the Vindictus Facebook profile there was a slight delay, and Vindictus should be coming out late2011.
Then again, the more a game takes in time, the better the game is.

Vindictus is highly overrated. The game play is fun, but the world is limited and Actionmmoftw is spot on with his guess about the game play being “chose an mission/server/whatever and get ported in the area”. The community, while not hostile or douchy, is really lame. There’s almost no interactions between players other than going in a party, which sucks dick. I would recommend Continent of the Ninth or Dragons Nest.

point and click is where you click to an enemy
your character autoattacks and you just press at the skill buttons taptap monster is dead. gonna try vindictus but try considering dragons nest. its an awesome action mmorpg game

You must have seen acai berry advertisers that claim to offer a free trial and help you lose weight without
paying a single dime. I fell for one of such offers only to find I was being billed hundreds of dollars each
month. When I asked the company why was I being billed, they told me, when taking the Free Trial, I signed
up for a monthly subscription and agreed to pay $109.99 each month for the supply of Acai Berry.
I asked them to cancel straight away. They said they cancelled my subscription and I would not be billed again.
Then came my next credit card statement, I was surprised to see the charges again. I tried to call up the
comapny again. No one answered my call for 2 days. On the 3rd day I was finally able to speak to someone
after being on hold for an hour. I explained my situation to the person, he said he would refund my money and
I would not be billed again.
To date I am yet to get the refund.
Instead of waiting to see more charges on my bill, I decided to cancel my credit card. What a relief!
The end result was after losing $329.97 I was yet to lose a single pound. Some of you might lose few pounds
after paying the bills (Pun Intended).
Most of you might have lost lot of money on different weight loss programs and are still looking for a solution
that will transform you overnight. Believe me , there is no such system available.

Everyone seems to be forgetting Mabinogi. While it isn’t a hard core action rpg (too much emphasis on the crafting, jobs, and other junk) the combat system is solidly action oriented. A nice rock/paper/scissors/dynamite with the melee combat system. Defending blocks regular attacks but not Hard attacks or windmills. Regular attacks do less damage but swing faster than hard attacks, meaning you can slip one in before your opponent does. I seem to recall a counter-strike ability that worked on both regular and hard attacks, and could only be beaten by using ranged attacks, or the windmill attack. The windmill attack was a mini-AOE, but it drained a small percentage of health each time you used it. This lead to some pretty tight strategies and party formations in some tough dungeons. Defensive spell casters and dedicated healers hunker in a corner with every other fighting person walling them off with windmills prepared as the monsters just close in on them. Definitely worth checking out.
The magic isn’t that awesome, but it is also strategic and action based, not just point and click.

Vindictus is decent but I don’t think it deserves top slot, I’ve played all the way to the current max content on multiple characters.. while the story is nice and the gameplay is fun, the community is fairly small. You might wait 20 minutes to an hour waiting for a single person to join your party unless you’re one of the lucky few to find an active guild. Not to mention the play run economy is horrible, an armor set for lvl 60 with mediocre stats has been going for 8mil+ and lately its been topping 14mil while lvl 61 (current gear cap) have been repeatedly added with better stats and yet the weaker armor is still more costly, the newer sets sit at 12-25mil for about 3 months before dropping slightly.
This wouldn’t be a problem if the reward rate for dungeons were higher but most money is made by vendoring junk and selling the good stuff for inflated prices (they recently reduced the prices that vendors will buy items for to combat inflation.. in turn making it worse)

Lunia is a very good game. Good combo system, staging, items but it getting boring when u start mything. In myth u only have to farm farm farm and so on. BTW combo system makes lunia best PvP game ever. better than some mmorpg-s where i just press some buttons and thats it

lame top. actions mmos are crap right now, all they care is point&click mmorpgs/fps/rts. vindictus looks ok and has nice combat but it lacks content.
