Overview

Dungeon Fighter Spirit Overview

Dungeon Fighter Spirit adapts the Dungeon & Fighter (Dungeon Fighter Online) universe into a mobile-friendly, side-scrolling ARPG focused on stage clears and character building. You start by choosing one of four base classes, Fighter, Ghost Knight, Mage, or Gunner, each built around its own weapon style, animations, and combat rhythm. As you progress, every class branches into two upgrade paths, giving you room to specialize rather than simply stacking numbers.

Combat emphasizes chaining skills in short bursts. You bring multiple active abilities into each run (with room for passives as well), then rely on timing and positioning as waves of enemies and elite targets fill the screen. Between fights, the main progression driver is gear. Weapons and armor drop across multiple rarities and can come with different effects and stat values, encouraging frequent upgrades and occasional farming when you hit a difficulty wall. Enhancement systems let you invest resources into favorite pieces to squeeze out more damage or survivability.

Content is structured around missions and story quests that guide you across the map, while raids and boss fights act as the main loot-focused challenges. Along the way, achievement-style objectives provide extra targets to chase and help open up additional areas to explore.

Development History / Background:

Dungeon Fighter Spirit is a side-scrolling mobile ARPG developed by Neople and published by Nexon. It draws directly from the Dungeon & Fighter franchise, the long-running PC beat ’em up first created by Neople in 2005, and reframes that action-heavy formula for touch devices with shorter stages and gear-driven progression. Closed beta testing started in October 2016 for Android users in South Korea, and the game never received a global release. Nexon later confirmed the service would end, with shutdown taking place on December 14, 2017.
