Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition Perk Comes to Meta Horizon+ Subscribers

Xbox is now offering the Starter Edition of Game Pass to eligible Meta Horizon+ subscribers in supported regions. The perk gives members access to more than 50 games, 10 hours of cloud gaming, and rewards for playing.

Meta Horizon+ pricing isn’t changing alongside the offer. The VR subscription still costs $59.99 per year or $7.99 per month, and includes a library of more than 100 VR games.

The move follows a similar partnership with Discord announced in May, which brought the same Starter Edition benefit to Discord Nitro subscribers.

Meta Quest users will also get another way to play soon. In the coming weeks, players will be able to emulate an Xbox gamepad using Meta Quest Touch controllers. Anyone who already has an Xbox controller can pair it with a Meta Quest headset instead.

The offer lands during a broader shift for Meta’s VR plans. Earlier this year, Meta said it would move more of its Horizon Worlds focus toward mobile while continuing to support third-party VR developers through partnerships and investment.
