WoW Hotfixes Cut Ula’tek’s Stone Venom Damage With Weekly Restarts

Blizzard’s September 21, 2026 hotfixes for World of Warcraft focus mostly on The Venomous Abyss, with the biggest change aimed at Ula’tek. Once weekly restarts hit, Stone Venom damage is being reduced by 40% on all difficulties.

That should make the Ula’tek fight a bit less punishing, especially for groups dealing with venom pressure across the arena. Blizzard also fixed a separate issue where Stone Venom could fail to damage players who were far away from Ula’tek, so the ability should now behave more consistently.

• Ula’tek’s Stone Venom damage is being reduced by 40% on all difficulties with weekly restarts.
• Boiling Venom on Mythic difficulty will now be marked as an Important Aura after weekly restarts.
• The Coiled Altar got fixes for rare cases where Toxic Deluge didn’t create Coalesced Venoms and Virulent Mutations.
• Fangs of the Crucible and Defilement of the Crucible should now properly create area denial on both halves of the platform.
• Pets should no longer be able to engage Zul’jan during roleplay.

Outside The Venomous Abyss, the update fixes a dungeon routing issue where following Lindormi’s Guidance in Den of Nalorakk and Altar of Fangs could leave groups short of the required enemy forces count.

Evokers also got a couple of fixes tied to Unravel and Fire Breath. Unravel should now activate correctly when Fire Breath is cast with Tip the Scales, and it should properly hit all targets struck by Fire Breath.
